   On Monday, 1st September , Taraweeh prayers  were offered at Masjid-e-Syed Hashim, Mahdavia Islamic Center of Chicago. Peer wo Murshid Hazrat Moulana Abulfatah Syed Nusrat Qibla led the Farz Isha  Prayers followed by Taraweeh Prayers led by Hafiz Asadullah Khan and Hafiz Syed Khundmir Sirajuddin. 

 Large number of Mahdavis including ladies & gentlemen attended the prayers. Mr. Rahmat Ali Khan, President MICC and Peer wo Murshad addressed the gathering briefly. It may be noted 1st of Ramzan is on Tuesday, 02 September, 2008 in the US & Canada.

                              DECLARATION

    The Hilal of Ramzan Was NOT Sighted anywhere in  USA & Canada on the 29th of Shaban 1429H i.e. Sunday,31 August,2008.
 Hence Taraweeh Prayers will Start from tomorrow night & the 1st of Ramzan will be on Tuesday, the 2nd of September, 2008.
 
 Faqueer prays Allah the Almighty to reward all our Shahideen (Volunteers) who made an effort to sight the New Moon and thus to keep Sunnah of our Prophet alive. May Allah make us follow His Book and Sunnah of His Last Prophet SAS during the Holy month of Ramzan   & for the rest of our lives.

           Moon Sighting Appeal for Ramzan 1429H

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah,

 Faqueer Abulfatah Syed Nusrat makes an earnest appeal to all the brothers and sisters in Faith to keep alive the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet SAS and try to sight the New moon (Hilal) of Ramzan-ul-Mubarak on 29^th of Shaban 1429 H (which happens to be on Sunday, the 31^st of August 2008 in North America) without fail. Numerous traditions (Ahadith) promise immense Devine reward for those who try to keep a Sunnah of the Prophet SAS alive.
 
 Please remember once again what our Imam, the Promised Mahdi AS taught us. He said that our religion is the Book of God and following Muhammad, the Messenger of God (Allah bless him and give him peace).

Please remember also that totally depending upon declarations based on astronomical calculations of the “experts” we cannot do away with the Sunnah of the Prophet SAS viz. based on both the word and the deed of the Prophet SAS.

Our beloved Prophet SAS had commanded us to sight the moon and start fasting and also to sight the moon and break fasting. Some traditions in this matter even ask us not to start fasting without sighting the moon and not to stop fasting without sighting the moon. Moreover, the Prophet SAS used to sight the New Moon himself and used to pray to God and thank Him if it was seen. 

This humble Faqueer, assures one and all that if at least ten percent of the Muslims make an effort to sight the New Moon on the 29^th of the Lunar Month, there would be no dispute anywhere in the world about the new month. So let us follow the Sunnah and be rewarded by our Lord, the Merciful, the Munificent. 

May God keep us on the right way.

  Bahra-e-Aam of Hazrat Bandagi Mian Shah-e-Niamath RZ 
  On 21st of Shaban Bahra-e-Aam of Hazrat Bandagi Mian Shah-e-Niamath RZ was observed in Chicago as well as many other Mahdavia Dairas. 

 In Chicago, Peer wo Murshid Hazrat Moulana Abul Fatah Syed Nusrat Tashreefullahi distributed the Nanriza and spoke about how the life of Hazrat Bandagi Mian Shah-e-Niamat RZ transformed after meeting Imamuna Mehdi-e-Ma'ud AS.

                     SHAB-E-BRA’AT 1429 H.

The “Shab-e-Bra’at” or The Night of Seeking Redemption is coming on the 14th of Shaban, Saturday the 16th of August 2008.

This humble Faqeer requests every member (men & women) of our Mahdavia Muslim Community living in the United States of America & Canada to spare this holy night for sincere worship of our Lord seeking divine Mercy& acquittal from our sins.

Brothers & Sisters of the community who reside in Chicago are especially requested to gather in the Mosque at 7419 N Western Ave and offer their prayers in the mosque.

            Sad Demise Of Hazrat S.A Khader Shakeb
 Hazrat Syed Abdul Khader Shakeb, a well known Orator & Writer of Mahdavia Community passed away while undergoing treatment for his heart ailment in a private hospital in Hyderabad on 08 August, 2008. In his demise we have lost a learned orator our community.

 Namaz-e-Janaza will be performed at Jumma Masjid after Zohar Prayers on 09 August and the burial will take place at Hazira-e-Bandagi Miyan Shah-e-Khasim, Mujtahid-e-Groh-e-Mahdavia RH, Museerabad, Hyderabad, India at 3.00 PM local time.

 We pray Almighty Allah to give patience to the members of the bereaved family.
 We pray Almighty to forgive him & bestow His Mercy to the soul of the deceased brother & reward him with His Vision.
