1. What is DENGUE fever?
DENGUE is caused by “Aedes aegypti ”a type of mosquito that breeds
In stagnant water. That has been infected with any one of the four dengue viruses.
2. What are the symptoms of DENGUE FEVER?
Mild fever to incapacitating high fever
Severe headache
Pain behind the eyes
Muscle and joint pain
Skin rashes (cool and blotchy skin)
Vomiting and Weakness
Enlarged lymph nodes
3. How it’s will spread?
Water tank
Flower vase, Water in air cooler
Unused tyres, tubes
Coconut shells
Empty water bottles
Empty flowerpots
4. How do I protect my self?
Make sure that, there is no water stagnation around your residence and work spot.
(Storage of water in coconut shells, plastic scraps, unused tyres Drums and buckets)
Cover both sump and overhead tanks tightly
Use mosquito nets and of Netlon to windows to avoid entering of Mosquitoes
Close all the windows & doors between 5.30 to 7.30 PM
When outdoors, wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants tucked into socks
Seek out medical attention immediately upon contracting any tropical fever or flu
Avoid eating fridge items like Cool drinks, Ice creams, Curds, Banana etc
Proper bed rest
If necessary isolation the person
