*Faqir ShahNoor Miyan makes an earnest appeal to all the brothers and sisters in Faith to keep alive the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet^SAS and try to sight the New Moon (Hilal) of Ramzan ul Mubarak on the 29^th of Shaban 1447 Hijri which happens to be on TUESDAY, February 17^th, 2026 in North America.

*Numerous traditions (Ahadith) promise immense Divine reward for those who try to keep a Sunnah of the Prophet^SAS alive.* *Please remember what our Imam, the Promised MahdiPBUH taught us.* _*He said: “our religion is the Book of God and following Muhammad, the Messenger of God (May Allah bless him and give him peace)”*_

*Totally depending upon declarations based on astronomical calculations we cannot do away with the Sunnah of the Prophet^SAS. Astronomical calculations can only help us in determining the possible date and time of visibility of New Moon. However, sighting the New Moon is a requirement of Shariah. Hence, it is a matter of Sawab (divine reward).* *Our beloved Prophet^SAS had commanded us to sight the new moon and start fasting and also to sight the moon and break fasting. Some traditions in this matter even ask us not to start fasting without sighting the moon and not to stop fasting without sighting the moon. Moreover, the Prophet^SAS used to sight the New Moon himself and used to pray to God and thank Him if Hilal was seen.*

*This humble Faqir assures you all that if at least ten really want the Muslims make an effort to sight the New Moon on the 29th of every Lunar Month there would be no dispute anywhere in the world about the new month. So let us follow the Sunnah and be rewarded by our Lord, the Merciful, and the Munificent.* _*May Allah keep us on the right way._
