يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous
Surah Baqarah Ayat 183

Hz. Talha ibn Ubayd ^Rz reported: Whenever the Messenger of Allah ^PBUH, saw the crescent moon, he would say:
اللَّهُمَّ أَهْلِلْهُ عَلَيْنَا بِالْيُمْنِ وَالْإِيمَانِ وَالسَّلَامَةِ وَالْإِسْلَامِ رَبِّي وَرَبُّكَ اللَّهُ
O Allah, bring it over us with blessings and faith, safety and Islam. My Lord and your Lord is Allah.

Hazrath Imam Mahdi ^PBUH is narrated to have said that – “Haa Miiim Ayyyn Siiin Qaaaf are the huroof-e-tajnis (letters of alliteration or equivocation). Muhammad ^PBUH is alive with ishq. “

Ameer-Ul-Muminin Hazrath Ali -ul Murtuza ^Rz.said that: “Generosity is to help a deserving person without his request, and if you help him after his request, then it is either out of self-respect or to avoid rebuke.”
