يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous
Surah Baqarah Ayat 183

Hz. Anas ibn Malik ^Rz reported: The Messenger of Allah ^PBUH said when the month of Ramadan began:
إِنَّ هَذَا الشَّهْرَ قَدْ حَضَرَكُمْ وَفِيهِ لَيْلَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ مَنْ حُرِمَهَا فَقَدْ حُرِمَ الْخَيْرَ كُلَّهُ وَلَا يُحْرَمُ خَيْرَهَا إِلَّا مَحْرُومٌ
Verily, this month has presented itself to you. There is a night within it that is better than a thousand months. Whoever is deprived of it has been deprived of all good. None is deprived of its good but that he is truly deprived.

Hazrath Bandagi Miyan Shah Nizam ^Rz.. stayed in a desolate place for a couple of months. He did not talk also during that period. For a month and few days he did not even eat. The inmates of his house thought that he might have eaten out.The brothers of the daira thought he might have eaten in the house. The Shah ^Rz.. had not eaten anywhere. Allah had blessed him with such an eminently chosen Zath for him.

Hazrath Ali Ul Murtuza ^Rz. said that -“Clemency graces power.”
